SCOOP: Dhurandhar: The Revenge to Run Longer Than its Predecessor; Runtime Anticipated Between 3 Hours 40 Minutes and 3 Hours 55 Minutes
March 2026 marks the launch month for Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and anticipation for the follow-up is climbing daily. Bollywood Hungama was the first to reveal in November 2025 that the original Dhurandhar would exceed three and a half hours in length. Now, we’re excited to share a fresh update about the anticipated runtime for the sequel.
SCOOP: Dhurandhar: The Revenge to Run Longer Than Its Predecessor; Estimated Runtime From 3:40 to 3:55
According to sources in international markets, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is shaping up to be a notably lengthy film. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The runtime is expected to reach 235 minutes, i.e., 3 hours and 55 minutes. In certain regions, however, circulating information suggests a length closer to 3 hours and 40 minutes. Either way, it surpasses Dhurandhar, which lasted 214.01 minutes (3 hours, 34 minutes, and 1 second). And that’s precisely what fans are hoping for. If the first installment proved addictive, the sequel is crafted to keep audiences engaged even longer.”
If the film finalizes at 3.55 hours, it would rank among Hindi cinema’s longest features and would become the second-longest film in the past 26 years, behind only LOC Kargil (2003), which ran 4 hours and 7 minutes. Lagaan (2001) is next on the list at 3 hours 44 minutes. A clearer official duration should emerge within about a week.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The first film follows an Indian spy who infiltrates Pakistan’s criminal underworld and political landscape, unleashing chaos. It opened strongly at the box office and, in subsequent weeks, surged to become a sensation. Its second-week earnings surpassed the opening weekend, and the film ultimately emerged as Bollywood’s highest-grossing title. The fervor surrounding the sequel is therefore immense, with a release date set for March 19. Both installments are directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jyoti Deshpande for Jio Studios, alongside Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar for B62 Studios.
