The afternoon brings a mix of forests and meadows, leading them to Sally Ann Lake, where they encounter more hikers and the Scottish Julian, who has passed them earlier. Despite the presence of mosquitoes, they opt to camp at the lake, with the HoneyMooners joining them later due to an injury. Day 13 brings a dreary morning, but the trail remains clear and blow down is minimal. They pass the Scottish Julian and witness rare trail markers, a stark contrast to the AT.
